Police Report: Driver, Like, Thinks She's, Like, Drunk
After police arrested her for OWI, she called him a faggot. After they reminded her she was being recorded, she repeated her insult so that it could be clearly recorded.
A 24-year-old Hubertus woman was arrested for OWI in Fox Point on Tuesday and gave officers quite an earful during the booking process.
According to the report:
While patrolling east on Brown Deer Road just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, a Fox Point police officer noticed a car speeding in front of him. In addition to speeding, the car was weaving within the lane as it turned on to Lake Drive, crossing the center line. The officer paced the car and it was going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone. He pulled the car over.
The officer spoke with the driver, whose eyes were glassy and bloodshot, and he noticed the smell of alcohol. The woman admitted to having two drinks while bartending in Milwaukee.
She failed the field sobriety tests and during the last one, the one-leg stand, she said, “I understand like, you know, like, I feel like I’m intoxicated,” she said. “I am pretty sure your tests are gonna show that I’m intoxicated.”
She was arrested for operating while intoxicated. Police discovered she had three open warrants through Menomonee Falls police for unpaid fines.
At the station, her BAC was 0.2.
Police noted in their report that she was very argumentative throughout the booking process, referencing the officer as a “faggot” and when she was told she was being recorded, she repeated her insult so that it could be clearly recorded.
She was cited for OWI and prohibited alcohol concentration. She was also cited for speeding and given a warning for operating left of center. She was later released to her father at 6:45 a.m. and she paid the $235.80 for the warrants.
