Bayside residents rang in the annual July 4th celebration Wednesday morning despite soaring tempretures.  More than 100 people marched down Ellsworth Lane showing off patriotic costumes.

After the parade, the crowd gathered for ice cream, courtesy of Cold Stone, while Community Bark handed out cold water to keep people hydrated in the blistering heat.

Cold Stone certificates were given to costume contest winners in age groups six and under and seven to 12years of age, as well as best dog.
