Drunken Driver Claims Cops 'All Up in His Junk'
After getting pulled over for his second drunk driving offense, a 23-year-old accused police of getting a little to friendly when they frisked him.
A 23-year-old Fox Point man was arrested for OWI after attempting to evade a police officer while driving drunk for the second time.
A Bayside police officer on patrol in the 9000 block of Tennyson Drive around 3 p.m. Dec. 22 and ran the license plate for a car backing out of a driveway with a broken side mirror, and the registration came back expired. It also told police the registered owner had a revoked license for a prior OWI conviction.
The officer began turning around to catch up to the car when the driver made several evasive turns at high speeds, according to the report. After turning onto Brown Deer Road he went North on Greenvale, West on Glencoe and North on Pelham Parkway before stopping. When the officer spoke with the driver, the man said he was going to pick up his mother but couldn't give the address for where she was.

The officer told the driver his license was revoked and he immediately became argumentative, the report said. While police arrested him and they explained his vehicle would be towed, he argued that he could have someone pick it up and started to make several phone calls despite the officer stating he didn’t have that option. While he was on the phone, the driver ignored any requests from the officer to hang up and said his mother was on the way to pick up the car. When asked where she was coming from, he said “The Bayside Garden Center.”
Police asked him to step to the rear of the car so he could be searched, and he said, “Don’t you guys have anything better to do?” And he claimed the officer was “all up in his junk.” The report said after police finished the search, the driver said, in a mocking tone, “You satisfied?”
At the station, he withheld his Social Security number initially, before reciting it verbatim to police later, according to the report. He also withheld his full middle name and current address, claiming he didn’t have a home. He was cited for Operating After Revocation – OWI Related, Unregistered Vehicle and Defective Rear View Mirror.
