In the November edition of the Village Scene, look for more information on the Emerald Ash Borer, its impacts, and what the Village is doing about it. Interesting to know, the Village has approximately 4,900 trees in the public right-of-way. Of those 4,900, over 700 of them are ash trees.

The attached pictures provide a snapshot of what impact the Borer can have as well as the markings on the tree to look for for in identifying this vicious tree disease. These were taken during a recent visit to Hazel Crest, IL. as part of a EAB symposium.
