Getaway Vehicle is a Skateboard

Person didn't offer age proof for purchase at GNC; instead, threw money on counter and fled on skateboard.

He didn't use a gun or knife, he just grabbed the box, threw some money down, and used his skateboard as a getaway.

About 5 p.m. Wednesday, Fox Point police were dispatched to GNC at the River Point Shopping Center for a 911 hang-up call. An unknown, white, juvenile male  had attempted to buy a detox cleanser and fled when the employee asked for identification because law requires that the buyer be 18 years or older.

When asked for the ID, the suspect threw some money on the counter and left with the item. The employee ran out after the juvenile and yelled, “You can’t buy that if you’re not 18.” The suspect jumped on his skateboard and fled through the parking lot. The item cost $52.79 and the suspect left $52 on the counter.

Dispatch described the suspect as wearing a red and gray plaid shirt, and was last seen on a skateboard heading southbound through the parking lot. Police do not yet have anyone in custody.
