Hang on to Your Hats! High Wind Watch on Wednesday
From Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon, things could go sideways. Literally!
Strap down patio furniture and empty flower pots. The National Weather Service is saying high winds will move into the area from Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 19, through Thursday afternoon, Oct. 20. It has issued a High Wind Watch.
Winds are expected to reach 30 to 40 mph, and lucky Lake Michigan shoreline residents could get gusts of up to 60 mph. Damage could be part of the gusts expected from late Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning so beware of tumbling trees and dangling power lines.
Drivers in tall vehicles, including trucks, are advised to use caution when traveling area roadways.

Also, put an extra coating of gel on the comb-over, make sure the extensions are tucked in tightly and leave the back of the babushka open so it doesn't catch wind like a jib sail.

I meant that to be a couple different visuals...but all in one is interesting, too!

Just a little tip to any out there who still have a patio umbrella out. You may want to go beyond just lowering it and actually remove it if you can. Ours, even lowered, was ripped away from the frame and judging from what I'm seeing down the street it looks like some others in our neighborhood experienced the same.

Excellent advice! We put away all of our patio furniture this morning that normally gets put away and moved garbage cans behind the garage.
I'm sorry about your umbrella! I hope it didn't cause more damage as it blew away.
