Help Abuse Victims by Recycling Old Cell Phones with Fox Point Police

Advocates of Ozaukee County will receive a stipend for each recycled phone.

Fox Point police are collecting cell phones for recycling, to benefit an Ozaukee County domestic and sexual abuse shelter.

Turn in your phone during normal business hours, which are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon on Fridays, at the Fox Point Police Department, 7300 N. Santa Monica Blvd.

In turn, the phone will be recycled with Shelter Alliance, a branch of GRC Wireless Recycling — the largest cell phone-recycling program in the US. Advocates of Ozaukee County will receive a stipend for each phone. The cell phones are recycled through an environmentally responsible zero landfill process.

Any type of cell phone and/or smart phone is accepted. Chargers will not be accepted.
