Letter to the Editor: Maple Dale-Indian Hill Board Member to Run Again
Rob Ricigliano writes about why he wants to return to School Board.
Editor's Note: This letter was written by Robert Ricigliano.
For the last six years I have served on the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School Board. During that time we have achieved a lot, including a series of successful negotiations with our teachers’ union after years of no-agreement, passage of two referendums, and reversal of years of declining enrollment. In January, I filed my papers of “non-candidacy,” feeling that I would retire from the School Board.
I am writing now to reverse that decision and to announce that I wish to run for another term on the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School Board as a write-in candidate. Recent events in the state and their impact on schools across Wisconsin compel me to continue to serve on the School Board.
Whether or not one agrees with the policies of Gov. Walker, it is undeniable that they will have a profound and unprecedented effect on our school district. I want to help the School Board, our great staff, and our community cope with the challenges ahead.
Sincerely,
Robert Ricigliano
