Is this a serious article? Of all the restaurants in the North Shore, Cosi makes the list? Look, Patch is great, and I appreciate news and support of local businesses but lets try to be honest here. Picking Cosi is basically selecting a fast food joint or Starbucks. It is neither romantic nor Paris bistro-like and could not possibly be considered as such by anyone. A little "pass the straight-face test" editing would be appreciated.

You're right, Andrew. I've never been to Paris, but I have to imagine it doesn't look like Cosi. For the budget-conscious diner, though, it's a pretty nice atmosphere for under $8. If anybody has any suggestions, feel free to chime in and share your favorite spot.

Hard to beat TJ's food, prices and drinks...No more smoke..and plenty of
room on the outdoor patio lately...

I'd put Devons on that Valentines Day List.

Devon belongs on that list but Pandl's could use a good cleaning before I would consider it romantic.

Last I went to Pandle's it was sad, and expensive. Cosi may be cheap-er, but it's not intimate, it's more of an "an oh sh*t we forgot to feed the kids and now it's late" spot. I'd put some intimate places on there for Valentine's Day, for Shorewood Patch, I'd put Benji's on there for a glowy kind of morning egg and coffee happiness, and maybe throw in a nice little dinner at Alioto's with a good burger, or Beans & Barley for a quiet plan-the-big-next-decision over hot ginseng tea kind of night.
