Paul Ryan Talks Up Romney During Visit to Racine
Paul Ryan visited Memorial Hall in Racine Wednesday as part of a GOP victory rally tour.
Vice presidential candidate and 1st District congressman Paul Ryan visited Memorial Hall in Racine Wednesday to boost the energy and momentum of local conservatives.
Before he took the stage, big-name Republicans said a few words outlining why they think the country needs Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to win the White House on Nove. 6.
And like at past rallies - including the Rally for Jobs hosted by the Racine Tea Party on Saturday - residents were encouraged to vote early absentee so that on election day, they can help ferry voters to the polls.
Leaders also took a page traditionally in the Democrats' wheelhouse by telling supporters to make phone calls, knock on doors, and talk to everyone they come in contact with about why the Romney-Ryan ticket is the combination America needs.

Paul Ryan has a plan. What is the Democrats plan to save Medicare? Where is the Democrats budget?
Paul Ryan has solutions and proposals. Democrats answer we don't have anything to offer, we just don't like your plans.

Wasn't that claim named Politifact's lie of the year? Take your propaganda back to Florida, Beth.

Beth, Halloween is over. You can stop trying to scare with your lies.

@Beth -- Not current seniors. Anyone born before 1954 would be exempt from the voucherization, er, premium support -- at least for now. But I recall that the US government promised the Lakota certain lands for as long as the grasses grow. I'm not confident about how long the promise would last.

As I understand it seniors would be impacted by the return of the infamous Medicare "doughnut hole" if ACA is repealed.

Isn't it also your understanding the Romney/Ryan are also going to get rid of Medicare completely? How can they be affected by the Medicare donut hole if Medicare isn't going to exist?

You have to keep your propaganda consistent, Bren...

@Bren -- Yes, the donut hole would be back, but that's minor compared with the extra money out of pocket that the younger retirees could face. I think Medicare D needs to be fiddled with a bit. The program pays full price for drugs and tells seniors they're getting savings. My mother's co-pays on prescription drugs are still horrendous.

CowDung -
Perhaps you should learn to read before you quote Politifact, regarding Lyin' Ryan's ever evolving "Plan" for winding down/ending Medicare... They only rated the phrase “Republicans want to end Medicare” as pants on fire!
They did NOT rate the phrase: “Republicans want to end Medicare, as we know it.”
"Individually, these claims all earned ratings of either False or Pants on Fire, depending on the wording or context. In addition, in December, we made the claim that "Republicans voted to end Medicare" our 2011 Lie of the Year.
However, in discussing the issue this week -- which, we should note, was a Medicare plan that is different from last year's -- lawmakers played fast and loose with our work.
Ryan said at one point that "ending the Medicare guarantee … was rated the Lie of the Year of 2011 by the nonpartisan Politifact."
That’s not what we said. "Ending the Medicare guarantee" is a different claim than our Lie of the Year. (Indeed, we haven’t yet rated that particular claim.)
However, here, too, that’s not what we said. The claim we rated for the Lie of the Year was that Republicans voted to end Medicare -- period -- not end Medicare as we know it."

Moammar Wilson:
How does “Republicans want to end Medicare” (pants on fire!) differ from what Beth stated? "Republicans' plan is to destroy Medicare..."
Beth did not state that 'Republicans would end Medicare as we know it' as you are claiming she did.

Beth: What is Obama's plan? He has had four years, you would think he should have started a plan by now.
He has grown food stamps by millions, grown unemployment, but still has not grown a plan. He should grow a pair and tell the American people the truth about Benghazi.

Why not do some work instead of complaining. Why don't you listen to Obama's speeches, He does talk of his plan every time.

@Craig...Something I am curious about. With the constitutional separation of powers, what real power does the executive branch have when it comes the economy? I am not just referring to this administration but any administration. Doesn't the congress have more power over the economy than does the administration?
