The Nicolet girls volleyball team reached the semifinals of the competitive Lancer Invitational at Brookfield Central on Saturday.
The Knights were 2-1 in their pool, playing Muskego, Brookfield East and Greenfield. In the quarterfinals, they defeated West Bend West 25-17, 19-25, 16-14 before falling to Pius in a tight match, 27-25, 23-25, 15-12, in the semifinals.
Pius lost to Brookfield Central in the championship match.
