Fox Point has now been outfitted with its own grocery store in RiverPoint Shopping Center, alleviating the drive for most residents to Mequon or Glendale for the majority of their grocery needs. Around 10 a.m., The Fresh Market had a little over a dozen people perusing the pears and moseying through the meat - which was adorned with a fully sculpted, hamburger pig, complete with cherry tomato eyes.

The Fresh Market is giving away free reusable shopping bags and a sample-sized bag of the grocer's gourmet coffee to the first 1,000 customers. There are also chef demonstrations, food sampling and drawings for Fresh Market gift cards.

I thought the apple pie sample was pretty tasty. Which was your favorite sample today?

The pretzels dipped in white chocolate were pretty tasty too! What a nice market, I'm so glad they finely opened!

Thank goodness for Trader Joe's & Sendiks & Metro Market. Though, @ Metro Market, it pays to play the specials. Bayside Sendiks also great to stop in for a quick run.

Seriously ridiculous prices @ Fresh Market. I just came from Trader Joes and had purchased a 26.5 ounce cylindrical container of Sea Salt. Price $1.49.

@ Fresh Market the same item, size and even same type of packaging, though different name brand; cost @ $3.79.
