Early Thursday morning in Fox Point, Lisa Anne was relieved by the absence of gray skies.

“I’m so glad the sun’s out today,” Anne said as she gripped the leash of her whimpering yellow Labrador retriever.

“I’m just in a really good mood,” she said. She reached down to pet Jake, asking if he agrees.

The sign is a definite yes with a rapid wag of the tail and some pacing back and forth. He looks eager to get a move on.

Lisa added the two walk every morning even when the roads are slick with ice. But with winter wrapping up and warmer weather on its way, Lisa recalls Jake’s favorite spot.

“During the summer time we’ll go down to the lake. He loves it.”
