Week Ahead: Foods for a Healthy Heart, Sensenbrenner Visit and More

Foods for a Healthy Heart

Learn how to improve your heart health through simple and practical modifications of your food choices Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the North Shore Library. Registered Dietitian Heather Klug from The Karen Yontz Women's Cardiac Awareness Center at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center will give a nutrition presentation to show you how to modify your diet and help preserve your heart health.

Sensenbrenner Coming to Town

U.S. Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner, R-Menomonee Falls, is making his way to Fox Point and Bayside Thursday.

The congressman will make a total of 28 stops this month, swinging by Bayside Village Hall at 10 a.m. and the Fox Point Police Department at 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 26.

Winter Farmer's Market in Port Washington

Looking to get away this weekend? Take a short drive North to Port Washington for the Winter Farmer's Market, 131 N Webster St, Port Washington. There's produce, beef/pork/chicken, eggs, pastries and pies, preserves and apples and juice. There will also be two or three artisans in attendance: herbs, childrens books and jewelry. The market kicks off Saturday at 9 a.m.

St. Eugene Open House

St. Eugene School will hold their annual open house Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Visitors can meet teachers, check out the school and learn about the traits of St. Eugene School.
