All About Books: Teaser Tuesday

I started reading a new book last night, but I'm not going to be sharing a little teaser from that book. It's a frivolous and fun read after I finished the 950-tome, "Dragonfly in Amber" by Diana Gabaldon. (Four out of five stars - there's a review on my Goodreads page.) After that epic novel chock full of 1700's Parisian intrigue and Scottish history, I'm resting my brain with a "guilty pleasure" read: Sylvia Day's "Bared to You."

But, I am giving you a little tease of something else. Something BIG is happening this weekend and I'm getting ready by planning food and snacks, making sure I have plenty of coffee and tea on hand and setting aside this pile of books. Any idea what I'm going to be up to?

Not quite . . . I'm hosting a 24-hour read-a-thon! How many books do you think I'll get through? :)

All alone? Or is this like a nerdy slumber party?
Your progress will depend on the books you pick. If you start with War and Peace I predict you'll get a good night's sleep but not finish one book. If you grab Shades of Grey and all its knock-offs you may finish ten or more.

Sounds like fun! I don't think my eyes could take it. :) I loved all of Gabaldon's books and am anxiously awaiting her next one! I bet if you put the other books after Dragonfly in Amber in your stack this weekend, you'd probably finish them all. :)

I did grab an audio book from the library for when my eyes simply won't function any more or my hands get so tired from holding books! :)

Oh my! I am actually going to be starting with my next book club book: The Good Wife by Robert Goolrick. :)

I did a private read-in some years back when I received the four volumes of Winston Churchill's "A History of the English-Speaking Peoples." From 55 B.C. to WWI in one weekend. Good stuff.
