Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center Pet of the Week: Fran

Meet Fran, an absolute delight of a girl. This tortiseshell girl is bursting with personality! She climbs inside of cupboards to tease her other kitty friends, gives up her belly for scratches to just about everyone she meets, and basks in the warm glow of the Center's recessed lighting (we call it her tanning booth). Earlier today, we found her curled up in a box of toys in front of a sunny window - a real character. Tortie girls are often feisty and insatiably curious. Fran fits the bill!

When it comes time to take a break from all the mischief, Fran is happy to rub noses with her humans and nap in your lap, in your arms, on the couch, in the sun...anywhere! She is truly a very special lady.

For more information about Fran and the other animals at Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center, visit the website at www.milwaukeearc.org and click on the adopt link. If you are interested in meeting this spectacular girl, stop in the Center during open hours, or return your completed adoption application to the Center to schedule an appointment.

Visit us at 5217 S. 51st in Greenfield (on the corner of 51st & Loomis).

Milwaukee Animal Rescue Center hours:

  • Tuesdays 3-7pm
  • Thursdays 3-7pm
  • Saturdays 12-3pm

*or by appointment.

Those interested in potential adoption should plan to arrive at the Center at least 30 minutes prior to close so the adoption counselor has adequate time to devote to the visit.

I love tortoiseshell cats, and if I didn't already have one (Evee), plus an orange tabby companion, I would adopt Fran. Somebody out there should. Torties make adorable pets.
