The Multi-Ethnic Parent Association (MEPA) is sponsoring a guest speaker, Dr. Gerald Durley, to present at Nicolet High School on Tuesday in honor of Black History Month. Dr. Gerald Durley is a highly sought-after educator, preacher, motivational speaker, psychologist and community workshop leader. Dr. Durley is a psychologist who was deeply involved in the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's. He was also a member of the first U.S. Peace Corp to go to Nigeria, West Africa. The Nicolet Merit Award is a way of recognizing students who participate in school activities, exhibit a positive attitude in their classes, perform service for the school and show leadership through good behavior and citizenship during the school year.
