Nicolet Fall String Orchestra Concert--Take a Walk on the Wild Side!
World-famous, alternative-style violinist Randy Sabien will join the Nicolet High School Orchestra to perform music encompassing traditional fiddle tunes, bluegrass, the blues, rockabilly, rock ‘n’ roll, and jazz.
At home in all of these styles, Sabien’s intensely rhythmic and inventive style has captivated audiences worldwide.
The concert, which will be held in auditorium, is free, with suggested donations of $5 for adults and $2 for students.
Sabien will be spending two days in residence at Nicolet, offering workshops for Nicolet’s feeder schools as well as the Nicolet orchestra students.
More About Nicolet High School
Nicolet High School enrolls roughly 1,150 students from Fox Point, Bayside, River Hills and Glendale. Of the 82 faculty Nicolet employs, 94-percent have obtained a masters degree or higher. In 2008, Nicolet was recognized as one of the three schools in Wisconsin to be designated as a "No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School." The school orchestra performs on tours and has travelled to Austria and Germany.
