Horicon Marsh Birding Trip

Wednesday, May 23 from 8:30am – 5:30pm or Thursday, June 21 from 12:30 – 9:30pm

Tour the world famous Horicon Wildlife Refuge. In May, we will visit Milwaukee Audubon’s newly acquired prehistoric Native American sacred site. This private property is not open for visitation at this time but special permission has been granted to us by MAS who will host our visit and point out its significant features. June’s class will visit Lizard Mound State Park on the way up to the marsh to learn from expert cultural archeologist Herman Bender how the mounds point to key astronomical positions.
