LX Club Update: Volunteers Needed and Halloween Party Success

A monthly message from club President Paul Kintz.

Editor's Note: This piece was written by President Paul Kintz and published in the November newsletter.

On the 28th we had a very successful Halloween party. We learned two things from that party. We are more successful if we can do a function with food. We also learned the value of advertising. My goal has always been to offer events that are attractive to a large number of people. Consequently, we will work harder in the future to offer activities we believe will be attractive to a larger group and do a better job of letting everyone know what is planned for the future. In the past, we were limited by not having someone dedicated to, for example, publicity.

Again, we need help with set-up and clean-up after various functions. That seems to be the biggest shortfall right now. If you can help out in either of these areas, your support is greatly appreciated. In most cases, we are referring to a very short time; but the more we do the more important these activities become.

We are working on a suggestion to place a calendar of times when the LX Club is used b y other groups not currently in the newsletter. We are still "wrestling" with how to do that without making the printing so small our calendar would be hard to read.
