Parades, Best Dog Competitions and Ice Cream Socials Planned for July 4th

Fox Point and Bayside both celebrating Independence Day with community gatherings.

Get your red, white and blue ready and bring that puppy. Fox Point and Bayside are gearing up for their Independence Day celebrations.

In Fox Point, there will be a parade and ice cream social from 9 a.m. until noon on Monday.

The parade will kick off at the , traveling north on Santa Monica Boulevard to Lombardy Road, west on Lombardy Road. to Bell Road and back east on Bell Road to the Longacre Pavilion.

A jazz quartet, free ice cream and beverages will be available. The annual softball game will also take place, featuring village residents against the Fox Point Police. Kids will have an opportunity to jump around in a bounce house, play with clowns, and get their faces painted.

Bayside will be hosting their own parade, also at 9 a.m., and beginning at . There will also be a Bayside's Best Dog competition as well as ice cream following the parade. Additional details can be found on the village's blog here.
