Pho Hai Tuyet II Bringing New Dishes to Audubon Court

New Vietnamese restaurant coming soon to Fox Point.

Fox Point will soon have its own Vietnamese restaurant where you can get as many different varieties of the popular Pho noodle soup as your heart and stomach desire.

The Fox Point Village Board Tuesday approved the license application for Pho Hai Tuyet II - pronounced PHO-hi-too-et - to join the other businesses in Audubon Court Shopping Center, 333 W. Brown Deer Rd. as early as September.

The name of the restaurant may sound familiar to some as the proprietors of the proposed new spot also own the original Pho Hai Tuyet, 3881 S. 27th St., off of 27th and Howard in Milwaukee.

Oanh Vu, manager of the original location and future manager of the second, said the demand to open a North Shore location was there, so they jumped at the chance.

“(There are) no Vietnamese restaurants up there and we have a lot of customers from up there that come here,” she explained, referencing the Southern Milwaukee location. “So we were looking for open locations and saw that one, and took it.”

The new location will seat anywhere from 30 to 50 customers, depending on the way they set up the tables and dining area, added Vu.

In addition to the Pho soup, some of the restaurant’s other popular items include their egg and spring rolls, as well as a plethora of noodle and rice dishes, said Vu.

In all, the Pho Hai Tuyet and the new location will serve more than 70 uniquely Vietnamese dishes that can be made vegetarian or include chicken, beef, shrimp or even mussels and calamari.

The new Fox Point location will offer dine-in or carry, out but no delivery.
