POLL: How Much Snowfall Will We Receive This Winter?

Wednesday and Thursday brought the first traces of the white stuff into metro Milwaukee.

Softly falling snow appeared briefly around southeastern Milwaukee on Wednesday and Thursday, sticking for a time to grass and leaves and reminding us all that Summerfest is indeed a long, long way away.

Average snowfall in Milwaukee is 52.6 inches, according to the Wisconsin State Climatology Office. The same organization reports that cumulative snowfall has been above average in four of the last five winters, including 99 inches in 2007-08. Last year was marked by a .

But that was preceded by five consecutive years of below-average snowfall. So this year it will be ... what?
