Synagogue Hosting Forum on Guns, Violence and Mental Illness

Congregation Shalom is inviting the community to join the discussion March 10. RSVP by Wednesday.

Congregation Shalom is inviting the community at large to join a discussion on firearms, violence and mental illness later this month.

Panelists will include Rabbi Ron Shapiro, Psychiatrist Steve Moffic and Attorney Frank Gimbel, moderated by Ben Merens.

The forum will seek to tackle questions like what does Reform Judaism teach us about these issues? How do we answer our children’s questions about Newtown? How do we protect our children and help them feel safe? What positive outcomes might occur from this horrific tragedy?
