Wisconsin Conservatory of Music: Drum Set Camps (Beginner to Intermediate)

The Drum Set Camps will address the stylistic and technical demands of the drum set player through the musical styles of Jazz, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, Funk and Rock. Topics of study include four-way coordination, rudimental application to the drum set, chart reading, mixed meters, soloing, feel, time development, analysis of recordings/transcription, developing practical practice methods, and more. Camp participants will gain invaluable experience performing with members of our piano, bass and percussion faculty.
