JR Knights Football Kick off 2012 Season

Are you ready for some football? The Nicolet Junior Knight Youth Football program Kicks off it's 2012 season!

The Nicolet Junior Knight Youth Football program kicked off it's 2012 season with the first meeting of the year on  Saturday, July 28th.  Players and their parents showed up at Good Hope School to meet with Coaches , pick up helmets and get fitted for equipment.

Jr. Knight football is committed to teaching the basic fundamentals of football and to develop leadership, teamwork, patience, self-respect and the respect for other players and coaches.  "The objective of the Jr. Knights program is not about winning, but learning.  We applaud the efforts of the team and reinforce the importance of teamwork to our players" says President, Art Sonnenschein.
 
The Jr. Knights youth tackle football program is open to boys and girls residing
in the Nicolet High School feeder district who will be attending grades 5th through
8th during the 2012-13 school year. Fourth grade participants may play with the
5th grade team if their physical and emotional maturity allows.  All necessary practice and game-day equipment is furnished by the Jr. Knights program with the exception of football cleats.
 
The 2012 program starts with pre-season practices beginning August 4th at the Good Hope school practice fields.  The game season begins in late August with two scrimmages, six regular-season games and two play-off games for the 7th and 8th Grade teams.
