Looking for one more way to celebrate Halloween before the flurries begin to fly?

Three local businesses are partnering to bring a little more Halloween to Fox Point with a Halloween Extravaganza from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

There will be fresh caramel corn and apple cider from The Fresh Market, artisan hot chocolate and frozen yogurt from Red Mango and Art Trooper will host a pumpkin-painting station in front of The Fresh Market.

"We are always looking for fun ways to integrate in the community and Halloween is one of the most fun, family friendly holidays, so this seemed like a perfect fit," said Peter Braatz, Red Mango owner.

Although official trick-or-treating in Fox Point and Bayside was Sunday, everyone is encouraged to don their dandiest costume Wednesday while they sip refreshments and design a pumpkin. Kids can trick-or-treat throughout the different departments in The Fresh Market as well.

"We're participating because it's a way to thank the local Ghouls and Ghosts," said Ann Deuser, owner of Art Trooper. The do-it-yourself art studio will provide staff supervision, paints, brushes, aprons, table cloths and palettes to paint the pumpkins.

"We'll help the children create a one-of-a-kind keepsake with weather-proof paints," Deuser said.
