Knitting Knook triples its space when it opens its new location Aug. 1 at 6858 N. Santa Monica Boulevard in the Fox Point Shops.
Piper Melkonian opened the shop in May 2009 at 8585 N. Port Washington Road.
Going from 800 square feet to 2,400 square feet will allow her to add a full line of needlepoint and other products, and also provide more space for patrons to come in and knit.
"People come and hang out all day," she said.
The store will be closed the last three days of July to accommodate the move.
