La Macchia Employees Get Fit on Wellness Action Day

Bayside police and the North Shore Fire Department also participated in the event.

La Macchia Enterprises held its Wellness Action Day event for team members and their families last Wednesday, October 2nd.

The event took place at the Bayside headquarters of LME, inside and around the three Mark Travel Corporation and Trisept Solutions buildings, north of Port Washington Road and Brown Deer Road.

Wellness Action Day was a four-hour afternoon event full of fitness classes, nutritious snacks, building tours and community involvement. Team members and their families had the opportunity to participate in group challenges, meet and greet the La Macchia family and test out healthy appetizers.

LME incorporated the Bayside community into Wellness Action Day by inviting village government leaders to participate in the event.

Rebecca VanRegenmorter, Management Assistant at the Village of Bayside, created a booth for the event that highlighted the relationships The Mark Travel Corporation and Trisept Solutions have with the community. VanRegenmorter also coordinated the presence of Officer Eric Miller with two police vehicles and a team of firefighters from the North Shore Fire Department, along with a fire engine.

“Bayside truly is a great community to work with and we cannot thank them enough for coming out to support our wellness event,” said Bill La Macchia, President of La Macchia Enterprises.

The human resources team, along with LME Wellness Ambassador David Pritchard, organized the event, which was all part of a company-wide wellness initiative designed to empower employees and their families to live healthy lifestyles. “It was invigorating to see all the activities and interest in wellness,” said La Macchia. “We are on a mission to keep our team healthy.”
