New Again Resale Shop Sports Upscale Resale Items

The new shop has been so busy, owner Trenice Jackson says the shop will have to wait to take more consignment items until current items move along.

opened its doors in earlier this month and if you drive by on a week day, when the shop is often closed, you can see sprinkles of people peeking in the big front window.

Owner Trenice Jackson opened the store April 6 and said it's the positive community that sparked her interest to set up shop in Bradley Place.

"I live in Milwaukee, but I picked Fox Point to open my shop because the building owners were so welcoming to my idea and I'm only 10 minutes away," she said.

The store is peppered with all kinds of new and consignment items from scarves to sunglasses, jewlery, shoes and clothes.

"Resale is a great way to recycle," Glendale resident Carol Curley said.

Jackson's full-time job is working in the insurance industry and she runs New Again Resale on her own, so the shop is currently only open Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday the hours vary.

"I am always thrilled when a new business comes to Fox Point." It is wonderful to see that strip mall thriving again," Fox Point resident Nancy Barnett said. "I like that the owner has put some money into the outside of the building. Hopefully it means that the economy is picking up."

While Whitefish Bay resident Mary Wallace hasn't had the chance to check out the new shop yet, she said she's happy to see new businesses take that leap during these tough economic times.

"I look forward to it," she said. "I applaud new businesses, as we know, it's a bit risky."

Jackson said she hopes to expand the store's hours soon based on suggestions from the community, and it's that positive attitude from Fox Point that's made this such an easy process.

"The community has been very welcoming as I expected," she said. "At some point we will consider consignment, but we need to sell some of our original items."
