New Fine Arts/Fitness Program Launches in the North Shore

The after-school shuffle is officially underway as parents drive all over town to get kids to their favorite extra-curricular activities.  Elite Sports Clubs River Glen location – 2001 W. Good Hope Road, Glendale - aims to ease the frantic pace with a new program called Elite Life for Kids, which bundles a series of high quality music and arts training along with its extensive sports and fitness offerings.

Elite Life for Kids offers piano, string instruments, and art education all under one roof through a variety of classes and private lessons for children ages infant through high school.  Tennis and swim classes will round-out the fitness part of the program.  It is a school-year program open to Elite members and non-members, who have the option of purchasing a punch card to use Elite’s River Glen facilities while their kids take classes.   For more information and class schedules, visit www.eliteclubs.com/finearts.

The fine arts staff, including long-time Whitefish Bay Public Schools music teacher Jonathan Brodie, pianist and vocal teacher Ginger Lazovik, who also serves as Elite’s Fine Arts Director, and Waukesha County Technical College art and design instructor Peggy Kiefert Krouse – have over 65 years of combined teaching experience.

“We are committed to providing students with high caliber coaching that will serve students at every stage of their musical and artistic development,” said Lazovik.

Elite, which purchased the former Le Club location one year ago, has launched this new program as a way for families to find everything they need in one place.   Elite Sports Club owner, Kay Yuspeh, says it is part of a national health club trend to add value and provide mind & body balance for club members, as well as the surrounding community.

"Families today are stretched thin and this program offers a one-stop option for parents to provide their kids with top quality fine arts and sports training and still get in a workout themselves,” said Yuspeh.

Elite will host an Open House at all its locations on October 5 from 8-11 a.m. where members and non-members can stop by, meet instructors and sample any Elite class for free, including the new fine arts programs at the River Glen location.  Those visiting River Glen during the Open House can also check out the new spacious loft space designed for kids to study and relax in between activities.
