Fourth of July in Fox Point, Bayside

What you need to know for local parades and other nearby Independence Day events.

The Fourth of July is almost here, which means the Fox Point and Bayside Independence Day parades are just around the corner.

Fox Point

The 4th of July parade in Fox Point will begin at 9 a.m. and will travel north on Santa Monica to Lombardy Road, west on Lombardy to Bell Road, and then back east on Bell Road to the Longacre Pavilion. Persons interested in participating in the parade should assemble at 8:30 am in front of the Fox Point Police Station.

Activities at the pavilion include a jazz band, free ice cream, beverages, and the annual softball game of Fox Point Police Officers and Village residents. Blinky the clown will be available for face painting along with bounce houses for the kids.

Bayside

Bayside's 4th of July parade starts at 9 a.m., at the Standish Place entrance to Bayside Middle School.

Glendale, Whitefish Bay Festivities

If that's not enough Fourth of July fun for you, there are also large community celebrations in Whitefish Bay and Glendale:

Glendale Days kicks off with a children's parade starting at Parkway Elementary School at 10 a.m., a community parade at 10:30 a.m. and fireworks at Kletzsch Park at 9 p.m.

Whitefish Bay's festivities start with a parade at 11:30 a.m.; kids games at Klode Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; live music starting at 1:15 p.m. and fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m.
