New Splash of Color Coming to Bayside

Sherwin-Williams is moving into Bayside and bringing even more life into the new Sendik's reconstruction.

As residents await the reopening of their local corner grocer, reconstruction of the entire commercial corridor at Brown Deer and Port Washington roads continues, bringing a little bit of noise and a big, new name: Sherwin-Williams.

When the "Red Bag" Balistreri family purchased the lot last December, it included the buildings occupied by Community Bark Dog Wash and Coffee Bar, Kurth Chiropractic and Great Lakes Foot and Ankle Center. The home at the corner of Mohawk and Brown Deer roads was on commercially zoned land, and also included in the deal. That house has since been demolished and will now house the new, 7,784-square-foot Sherwin-Williams. Construction is set to begin in August.

The new paint shop recently joined forces with Williams-Sonoma to design paint colors accommodating decor designs at Pottery BarnPottery Barn Kids, PBteen and West Elm collections.

The application for the conditional use permit slates a hopefully opening for January, 2014. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
