Week Ahead: Board Meeting, Cooking Demonstration and Summer Clean Up

Fox Point Village Board Meeting Tuesday

The Fox Point Village Board will meet for their regular meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at .

The board plans to approve a permit for the Fox Point Lutheran Church to use village streets on Sept. 8; to discuss and possibly vote on an amendment that would set a fixed percentage for each participating municipality's contributions to the North Shore Fire Department budget.

The Fresh Flavors Cooking Demonstration is coming to Fox Point! Local Chef Mike will lead a free, step-by-step presentation at on July 14. Guests are invited to drop in any time during the event and learn how to prepare Steak with Caramelized Ale Onions and Bacon BBQ Glaze and Summer Herbed Orzo Salad.

Bayside Summer Clean Up Day Sunday

Bayside residents are invited to swing by Village Hall Sunday to dispose of nearly any household item you can find, including:

  • Recycling
  • Batteries, printer cartridges, cell phones
  • ANYTHING that plugs in (fridges, dehumidifiers, etc.)
  • Construction items for Habitat for Humanity
  • GoodWill Donations
  • Latex Paint (preferably dried)
  • Waste Oil
  • Scrap Metals

The only thing they CANNOT accept is Household Hazardous Waste. Residents can dispose of these items by contacting MMSD. 

Participants will need to enter off Fairy Chasm Road, provide proof of residence, and are asked to donate non-perishable food items for Hunger Task Force or a monetary donation for the MACC fund.
