Week Ahead: Meetings, Flu Shots and More

Who said nothing ever happens in Fox Point or Bayside — Patch certainly doesn't think so! Check out all the places to be, things to do and people to see as we look at the week ahead.

Nicolet School Board Meeting Monday

The Nicolet School Board will meet Monday night at 7 p.m. in the Community Room for their regular board meeting. Here's just a few items off the agenda:

• The board plans to recognize which was selected by the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities as one of 44 works to be displayed in their offices in Washington, D.C.
• The Policy Committee recommends approval for a handful of changes to the Employee Handbook at Nicolet, including staff complaint procedures, the dress code and definition of professional hours and workdays.
• The board also has slated to vote on appointing six staff changes.

Stritch Features, "Wisconsin Labor: A Contemporary Portrait"

has a new , from noon until 4 p.m.

Photographers Tim Abler, chair of the Visual Art Department at Stritch, and Dick Blau of Milwaukee, David Heberlein of River Falls, J. Shimon and J. Lindemann  of Manitowoc, and Jamie Young of Madison were commissioned by the Wisconsin Arts Board in 2007 to create a statewide “portrait” of contemporary labor.

Flu Shots and Magnets at the

Flu shots will be administered by a registered nurse from the North Shore Health Department Saturday at the farmers market from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Shots are free for people covered by Medicare (please bring your card), and $30 for all others.  

You can also pick up magnets created by students in the Saturday at the Farmers Market. Students made the magnets over the summer as a fundraiser for the Fox Point-Bayside School Foundation.
