Whiz Kid of the Week: Maple Dale Puppeteers
After doing the research, these kids created puppets and performed for a full house.
Mary Moliere's fifth grade class, 11 years old
Accomplishment: Students read biographies of their choice, then wrote plays based on the people they studied. Some students researched big names like Elvis, Bill Cosby, Walt Disney and Michael Jackson.

In art class, they made puppets of the person they researched and then they put on a performance for a packed crowd in "the pit" at Maple Dale.
Key to Awesomeness: In order to really make the play a success, these students had to fully understand their subject, what that person was like, or in some cases still is like, and what made them unique.
