While I don't have a home just yet, the apartment we moved into at had a couple of accent walls painted when we moved in. Normally, I like color — but not baby poop greenish-orange.

So we repainted with some more calming colors including a sage green, some off-white and a neat taupe. We also rearranged our living room, which made things seem a lot bigger and more open.

It seems that home owners, and even renters like me, have to get more and more creative when it comes to sprucing up their abode on a tight budget.
