MATCH DAY: A Unique Way to Donate on March 14

One-day, online event offers opportunity to get more bang for your buck!

Match Day is a great opportunity to have online donations to Hunger Task Force MATCHed by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. On Thursday, March 14, they will match efforts to feed hungry neighbors when an online donation is made to Hunger Task Force. With rising food prices and reduced federal commodity funding, the timing couldn’t be better to have donations to the food bank matched.

Each donation made on March 14 will be proportionately matched by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Basic Needs Fund.

Donations to Hunger Task Force can be made several ways on Match Day. Online donations will be accepted at MatchDayMKE.org. Hunger Task Force is setting up a phone bank and operators will be available to take information over the phone. From 5am-midnight on March 14 donors can call (414) 939-MEAL and donations will still be matched.

And of course donors are always welcome to stop in at the Hunger Task Force office located at 201 S. Hawley Court, off of I-94 between Miller Park and Wisconsin State Fair. A kiosk will be set up inside the office and staff will be on hand to talk donors through the process.
