Help Clean Up Doctors Park and Pull Some Garlic Mustard Saturday

Doctors Park is in need of volunteers to pull garlic mustard this Saturday, May 5 starting at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome!

If you have some free time this Saturday morning and want to volunteer for an hour or two, please come to Doctors Park to help pull garlic mustard.

Garlic mustard is an invasive plant that poses a severe threat to native plants and wildflowers by its aggressive growth and monopolizing light, moisture, nutrients, soil and space. The best time to pull these plants is mid-April through May.

Time is of the essence - we need all the help we can get to help control this weed.

Feel free to bring family, friends, neighbors, school groups, sports teams - all are welcome.

We'll meet in Doctors Park parking lot at 9 a.m. Volunteers can work in their chosen area; however, we'll point out sections of the park that need the most attention.
