Nicolet Athletic Update: 3.11.13

The NHS Boys and Girls Track teams: The track teams began practicing last week and will begin competing this week with a JV Girls meet at Homestead on Thursday at 4pm, a Varsity Girls meet at Carthage College on Friday at 4pm and a Varsity Boys meet at Carthage beginning at 10am on Saturday.

The NHS Girls Softball team: The Girls will try to build off the positive momentum from their winning season last year.  They begin practicing this week after months of training in Fall ball and open gyms.

The NHS Girls Soccer team: The Girls also trained hard in the past year with several boot camps and look forward to the start of their season as they begin practicing next week.

The NHS Boys Tennis team: The Boys will begin practicing on March 25th and will travel to Hilton Head South Carolina over Spring Break to train and compete.

The NHS Boys Golf team: The Boys golfers will begin practicing on March 25th.  Pray for better weather for them.

The NHS Boys Rugby team: The Boys will begin practicing on March 13th and will not need your prayers for good weather because they will play in any weather.

Congratulations to Nicolet Junior Evan Siverhus who was recently named Milwaukee Journal All-Area Swimming and Diving Honorable Mention.

The NHS Booster Club:  Next meeting is Wednesday, April 3rd at 7pm in room B113.  Their next big fundraiser is Saturday, April 13th.  The Boosters will team with Heiser Ford on "Drive for Your School!"  Beginning at approximately 10am, each household that tests drives a Heiser Ford vehicle will earn Nicolet athletics $20.  There will be plenty for your family to do while you test drive a Ford.  Free sports clinics will be offered for basketball, dance, wrestling, pole vault, football, softball, volleyball, gymnastics and much much more.  While you are on your test drive, we will wash your car and there will be food cooking in the concession stand.  There will be a raffle drawing and Nicolet spirit wear available for sale as well.  SAVE THE DATE: APRIL 13TH "DRIVE FOR YOUR SCHOOL!"

Please save the date for the 5th Annual Nicolet Athletic Golf Outing Fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, July 13th, 2013 at the Fire Ridge Golf Club in Grafton. 

The past four golf outings have raised more than $50,000 for the Nicolet Athletic Department! We need your help again.  We are looking for golfers, donations and silent auction items.  Please mark this date on your calendar and stay tuned for more details.
