The NHS Boys Rugby team:  Nicolet RFC 29 Marquette RFC 10. On a beautiful day, your Nicolet Ruggers took the field for a rematch of the 2012 State Championship game! The game started off fast as Nicolet marched it down the field and scored during the first 5 min. of play!  The tempo was set for the day as the Nicolet ruggers who were outsized continued to dominate in the loose with punishing tackles and hard rucking! Hats off to the back three who were tested all day by numerous kicks however, they managed to stay composed and counter attack.  Finally, the guys wore the big boys from Marquette down and with nice ball handling/pace were able to seal the 29-10 victory! What a great turnout! The team wants to thank all of the faculty, staff, parents, grandparents (Ms. Sheila), alumni, and students for their support!  Nicolet RFC then beat Muskego last Friday 47-14.  Historically, Muskego has been one of the toughest teams in the state! Two years ago, the last time Nicolet lost a rugby game it was at the hands of Muskego and as usual, they showed up focused and ready to play. Muskego came to play with some BIG, well coached boys, however the Nicolet side stepped up to the challenge!  From the start of the game to Nicolet ruggers kept the imposing Muskego side on their heels..........winning ball and sealing up rucks! One man one tackle was the theme of the day as the boys communicated and worked together.  Fast, front foot ball movement and TEAM rugby sealed the victory! The stage is set.......for this Wednesday!  WHITEFISH BAY RFC (4-0 this season and 2012 Undefeated DII State Champs last season) vs. NICOLET RFC (4-0 this season and 2012 Undefeated D I State Champs last season)  This game historically, has had a huge crowd! This will be the last home game before the playoffs and the Nicolet Ruggers would like to invite everyone to come out to support the team. The match will kick off at 5 p.m.

The NHS Boys Tennis team: The Varsity will compete in the North Shore Conference meet on Thursday and Friday at the Homestead and Cedarburg courts.  JV will host Homestead on Wednesday at 3:30pm.  The boys tennis team, went 5-0 this week. In singles Kevin Ballecer, Puma, Mike Yarmulnik, and Rafi Barash.    The boys have the conference tournament this Thursday and Friday. Next week subsectionals and sectionals.  The JV team finished 2nd in the NSC Conference meet hosted by Nicolet on Saturday.  Check out the nice Journal/Sentinel article on Ben Levey and his family: http://www.jsonline.com/sports/preps/levey-will-bring-end-to-successful-...
