Free Tickets Still Available for The Elves and The Shoemaker

Students have a half-day of school on Friday, German contestants advance to State and free tickets still available for Children's play at Nicolet High School.

Free Children's Play, "The Elves and The Shoemaker"

The Theatre Department will present "The Elves and the Shoemaker" on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.  This 45-minute show is a wonderful introduction to theatre for children ages 4-10 and fun for the whole family.  Admission is by ticket only.  FREE TICKETS are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the District Office, C- 103.  The show will be performed in the Studio Theatre in the Community Room.  Get your tickets soon--seating is limited.

Nicolet Students Excel at Regional German Pronunciation Contest

A total of 22 Nicolet students took part in the 2012 Southeastern Wisconsin German Pronunciation Contest, with over 90 percent of students qualifying for the state competition.  Held at Rufus King High School on Saturday, the competition required students to present a poem and then engage in an extemporaneous conversation.  The State competition will be held on March 31 at Marquette University.  The following students qualified for state:

  • Level One: Ava Crawford-Vukecevic, Jane Moede, Julia Mumm
  • Level Two: Jimmy Abram, Wayne Martin, Ellie Mittelstadt, Joe Moede, James Watson
  • Level Three:Ella Dierberger*, Sandra Gurneau, Natalie Muenster, Julia Vascan*
  • Advanced: Allie Foran-McHale*, William Jen*, Seth Johnson, Sally Klein, Micah Neidorfler, Sarah Sherman, Chris Sorenson, Alexys Zipter

* Signifies four straight state qualifications.
