North Shore Fire Department Launches New Website

The new website allows users to register for Facebook, Twitter, and email notifications to provide residents with the most up-to-date info on fire safety, events, and programs.

In January 2012, fire Chief Robert Whitaker presented the North Shore Fire/Rescue Foundation with an idea to make improvements to the website currently used by the North Shore Fire Department.

Chief Whitaker identified that a new website design would provide the North Shore Fire Department a more effective way to educate and inform the residents of the North Shore. The North Shore Fire/Rescue foundation was eager to commit to the project and quickly allocated the money to fund the entire project. The foundation board of directors has been committed to help the North Shore Fire Department develop and maintain a high level of fire safety and education to the residents of the North Shore, without the generous donation made by the foundation, this project would not have been possible.

The North Shore Fire Department chose Hurley Technologies to help develop a website that will allow its users to easily navigate through the site to:

One of the most exciting features of the new website is it will allow the user the ability to register for Facebook, Twitter, and email notifications that will provide residents with the most up-to-date information about fire safety, events, and available programs. Using social media and email notification will allow the North Shore Fire Department to keep residents informed and provide them pertinent information in a timely manner.

The North Shore Fire Department would like to again thank the North Shore Fire/Rescue foundation for its generous donation; and encourage everyone come and see our new and improved look at www.nsfire.org
