A Life At Work: The Joy of Discovering What You Were Born To Do (158 M824L) by Thomas Moore is in the regular non-fiction section of the Library, and has a refreshing take on the topic of employment. Moore encourages taking the opportunity to reflect on what you want from your work. He says, “Loving your work doesn’t mean liking every minute or being passionate about everything you do. Love can be a quiet hum in the background, a basic feeling that the work you’re doing has value, fits you, and matches a desire to accomplish something.”  Many of us feel lost and confused when facing a change in employment.  Moore, however, looks at this time as a time of “pure possibility”.

If you are in the midst of a job search, don’t forget that a visit to the North Shore Library may offer just the help you need.
