Obituary: Sermata Shane Pollack

Sermata Shane Pollack of Bayside passed away Saturday at age 83.

Formerly of Whitefish Bay and Chicago, IL., Pollack is preceded in death by parents, Morton and Selma Shane, and brother and sister-in-law Orville and Lois Shane. Beloved wife of 64 years of Robert Pollack. Devoted mother of Steve and Pettra Pollack, Mickey and Patti Gorsky Pollack, and Sheri and Steve Lear. Cherished sister of Ila Polan (Moe Spector). Special sister-in-law of Don and Audrey Pollack and Myrna and the late Donn Sherman. Adored “Nana” of Jeff (Jeni) Pollack, Joel (Beatriz) Pollack, Amy (Joe) Zappia, Marni and Lindsay Pollack, Andrea, Kimmy, Daniel and Rebekah Lear. Bonus grandma to Seth, Josh (Erin) and Cassie Gardner. Proud great-grandmother of Jack, Magdalena and Isla.

Further survived by so many loving nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at , 7630 N. Santa Monica Blvd, Fox Point. Interment will be at Mound Zion Cemetery, 14510 W. North Ave., Brookfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin (13195 W. Hampton Ave, Butler, WI 53007) or Congregation Shalom. Shiva will be observed Tuesday and Wednesday, 7 p.m. at the home of Mickey and Patti Gorsky Pollack, 6921 Crestwood Dr, Glendale.
