$300 in Plants Stolen From Fox Point

Nearly $300 in plants were stolen from the front lawn of a home in the 6400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard this past weekend.

The homeowner told police that they recently purchased five rose bushes, four salvia plants, six dahlia plants and another exotic plants at 7:42 p.m. Saturday. They left the plants in the front yard overnight, and they noticed they were missing the next day around noon. The value of the plants is $296.

  • A man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 5:50 p.m. on May 31. Police noticed the car was parked in a cul de sac at the end of the 8200 block of Mohawk Road, and upon getting closer to the vehicle, detected the odor of burnt marijuana. Police approached the vehicle and noticed the man seemed nervous and had glassy, bloodshot eyes. Inside the vehicle, they found 1.1 grams of marijuana, a glass pipe, a plastic marijuana grinder, two bottles of eyedrops and chewing gum. 
  • Police found a man passed out behind the wheel of a car in the Open Pantry parking lot at about 11:28 p.m. on June 4. The vehicle was not running, but his key was in the ignition. He told police that he had a Xanax earlier in the night, and police found another three Lorazepam pills in his front pocket. He was cited for his third offense of operating while intoxicated and possession of controlled substance.
