63 Harassing Text Messages Sent to Fox Point Man

The text messages were sent from the man's former employee, who resigned after being accused of theft.

A Fox Point man called police after receiving 63 harassing text messages from a former employee.

The man told Fox Point police that he owns a Boost mobile kiosk at Regency Mall in Racine. Days earlier, he had reported to Racine Police that two cell phones and $100 in cash had gone missing from the kiosk. The owner asked the kiosk manager, who denied taking the items but resigned on the spot.

On April 8 at 9:23 p.m., the Fox Point man started to receive strange messages on his cell phone from the former employee. The text messages accused him of false accusations, and that “obviously cops know you r a joke and a liar. This isn’t over. I won’t be convicted of your claim against me. My lawyer will be in touch shortly and I will take u to civil court over my check and also have them look into your tax evasion. Nobody needs u so go head and wink at me cutie they will love you in the pin.”

The former employee sent the text message 13 more times that night, and sent 63 texts overall. The employee, who is from Racine, was cited for unlawful use of a telephone.
