78-Year-Old Driver Misses Lake Drive Curve and Lands in The Shul Parking Lot

She didn't make the curve on Brown Deer Road as it turns into Lake Drive and took out a sign and some bushes before landing in The Shul parking lot.

A 78-year-old Bayside woman told she just didn't "make the curve" as she drove northbound from Brown Deer Road to Lake Drive. She was uninjured, but took out a few items before landing in parking lot.Β 

According to the report:

The woman was negotiating the curve around 9 a.m. Friday as she was heading north on Brown Deer Road where the road jogs to the right, turning into Lake Drive. She told police she just didn't "make the curve."

When police arrived, they found extensive front end damage to her car and a traffic sign wedged up underneath the vehicle.Β 

She had driven into the ditch and narrowly missed a light pole as well as a utility pole. She broke a directional pole sign off at its base; that turned out to be the sign underneath her vehicle. She drove over some bushes as well. She did not complain of any injuries and denied medical treatment.Β
