An Air Conditioner Upheaval

Bayside man leaves air conditioner on side of road, surprised when stolen.

A seven-foot tall, Carrier home air conditioner was stolen from a driveway in the 9000 block of Bayside Drive on May 26 around 3 p.m.

The victim said he was out cleaning the garage and placed the unit out on the driveway for future removal. He left for work the next morning around 9 a.m. and when he returned that afternoon, the air conditioner was gone. He estimates the value to be between $500 and $600.

have a statement from an in-home caregiver stating that she witnessed the theft. She was approached by two men who told her they were there to "pick the air conditioner up." She observed the two men lift the unit into the back of a pickup truck and leave. Police have no suspects.
