Burglar Snatches Purse From Woman's Home

This is the third report of a Fox Point home burglarized in as many weeks and police are investigating a possible fourth incident that took place just hours after this home was hit.

A string of recent home burglaries have Fox Point police reminding residents to lock their doors. 

Around 9:30 a.m. Oct. 8, a homeowner in the 7300 block of North Seneca Road called police to report that someone had been in her home the night before without her knowledge. 

She told police sometime between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., someone came into her home and took her purse, which was lying on a chair in the kitchen about six feet east of the unlocked front door. She said nothing else appeared to be missing and there were no unauthorized purchases made on her credit cards at the time.

The following items were stolen:

  • A yellow gold Majkowski Purse, valued at $180
  • $40 in cash
  • Her wallet, valued at $20
  • Vaious credit cards and her drivers license
  • A set of head phones, valud at $25.

Fox Point police received a call for a suspicious person at 12:52 a.m. the following day in the 7300 block of North Iroquois Road where someone attempted to get inside a home, only about three blocks west of this burglary report.

Police are still investigating.
